Fall Detect IR Sensor – 20004
A fall detector works by sending and receiving infrared signals to measure the distance between itself and the target object, and it reacts when a sudden variation of distance occurs. This detector is based on low-cost, array-based infrared ping sensors. It could be used to prevent robots from falling into lower places. This sensor’s output voltage stays high if an object exists in the specified distance range. So, this sensor can also be used as a proximity sensor.
